10 June 2008:

Results of the 2008 Edward G. Picken Pro-Am Dance Classic are posted on the Results tab. Select 2008 for this year's results.

We plan to announce the date and location of the 2009 Edward G. Picken Pro-Am Dance Classic within the next 6 weeks.

29 May 2008:

The Tentative Schedule has been updated. Please download the latest version from the Schedule tab.

This version of the schedule includes some minor changes to the order of events and timing of events on Friday.

If your version of the schedule IS NOT dated May 29, 2008, you have an obsolete version of the schedule.

Information on Practice Ice sessions for the 2008 Pro-Am is now available on the Practice tab. Please read carefully. The schedule (both online and downloadable versions) have been updated to reflect correct information about the Practice Ice sessions.

The Tentative Schedule (as of 17 May 2008) is now available for download in PDF format, or in a color-coded format for online viewing. Click on the SCHEDULE page for the schedule.

Novice Compulsory Dance:

Compulsory Dance changes for the 2008-2009 competition season: American Waltz, Blues, and Paso Doble. This change was approved at Governing Council last week, thus, the Novice Dance events at the Pro-Am will be the American Waltz and Paso Doble.

Note that the Blues is offered as an Open Dance event.

The announcement and entry forms are now available for download on the Forms page.


Competitors' Party:

New this year, there will be a Competitors' BBQ on Saturday night June 7th, immediately after the competition finishes. We will present the Coach's Trophy during the party, to the coaches (male and female) with the highest number of points based on number of events competed and placements with their skaters.


Vendors:

There will be several vendors at the 2008 Pro-Am:

Lilikoi Swarovski Crystal Embellished Shirts on both Friday and Saturday

" Skating is My Life" on Saturday

Jewelry Trunk Show by the Davis Girls on both days

Five-Mark Media Productions will be official videographer again this year.

The rink is a climate-controlled facility with double ice surfaces. The competition surface measures 200' by 100', with rounded corners and a hockey barrier.
